为了丰富全校大学英语的课堂教学，提升金沙2004线路检测学生的跨文化交际素养，外语学院从上学期特邀金沙2004线路检测外籍教师，为全校学生举行西方文化类系列讲座，新学期将继续进行。所有讲座将就英语国家的社会文化、风俗习惯等方面作普及型的教育，希望借此能够拓展学生的国际视野，提高学生的跨文化交际能力，激励学生的英语学习。
为方便广大同学，本系列讲座安排在南湖、首义两校区的不同时间分别进行。本期讲座信息如下：

讲座简介：
Everyone wants to be successful, yet many are living lives of fear and frustration. What is success? How do you define it? How do you know if you are successful? Society often has given a view of success that not only is incorrect, but leads to frustration and brings nothing but fear of the future.
What can you do to make sure the pressures of chasing the “success syndrome” do not effect you? Is there a way to live your life free from the worries and pressures that plague society? These, and other questions will be discussed in the lecture and you will leave with the knowledge and confidence needed to be successful.
主讲人简介：
Professor Edwin Myers, M.A., has been teaching for 46 years in 19 different countries. He and his wife (Mary) have lived in China for nine years where they have taught in universities in the Hubei and Hunan Provinces.
He has a Bachelor’s Degree (B.A.) and Master’s (M.A.) Degree in Ancient Literature with a minor in Psychology.
Mr. Myers has taught and lectured all over the world in many different programs. His lectures have covered subjects like: Success Principles; Lessons for a Successful Life; Communication in Marriage; Marriage Relationships; Communication in Business; Business Management; and Parenting (How to Raise Happy, Healthy Children).
Besides teaching, Mr. Myers has experience in business management, sales, sales training, and business ownership. He has owned and operated 3 businesses.
